On her recent visit to 106&Park, Alicia Keys was rocking a gorgeous pair of Christian Louboutin shoes. When I first saw the shoes I thought A. Keys was rocking a pair of leather pumps, with leather leggings, and I was in a deep side eye until I found out that those shoes were actually over the knee boots.
Yes, over the knee boots, and for a hefty price of $2,295 you can be the owner of a pair of Christian Louboutin Gazolina boots. Now, if you are like me and you do not have over $2,000 to spend on a pair of boots, then check out this cute dupe.
These are the Penny loves Kenny Tidal Thigh High boots and they can be purchased at DSW for the price of $99.95. So for a percentage of the cost of Christian Louboutin shoes, you can own a pair of boots that look similar to the pair Alicia Keys was seen wearing.

A perfect look when doing brunch with the girls.

The weather in Florida can get really funny sometimes. Within one day the weather can change from a cold hard freeze to a hot summer’s breeze. I definitely had my share of times where I bundled up for the morning chill only to end up burning up in the afternoon heat.
When I know that I am in for one of those funky weather days, I try to avoid wearing heavy clothing underneath my jackets. I try to keep it light and simple like the shirt seen in the photos.
Payless Shoes, Express tights, Jcpenney’s shirt, shorts, and scarf.
If you live in an area like mine, the best thing you can do is switch between light and heavy clothing when layering your outfits. It gives you room to strip down into something more comfortable when the temperatures start to rise.
Thanks for reading.
If you are going to walk through a Winter Wonderland, then why not walk through it in style.
Can you say AWESOME? I freaking love these boots, and as soon as I get the chance I will be purchasing them, and maybe the ankle boots. I first saw these shoes on a documentary MSNBC did on the company TOMs shoes. The documentary focused on the founder, Blake Mycoskie, and his philanthropic work that started Tom’s Shoes. See, Toms shoes is not your average shoe company because for every shoe sold, at Toms Shoes, the company donates a pair of brand new shoes to a child in need. Here is more information about Blake Mycoskie and Tom’s shoes.
Over the past year, I have been anxiously awaiting the launch of MAC’s Venomous Villains Collections. If you don’t know, which you probably don’t, Disney and I go waay back. I remember wrapping my legs up in sheets pretending that I was Ariel. Please don’t act like you didn’t do it. Anyhoot, when I found out that Mac was teaming up with Disney to create this collection, I started to save my bucks because I figured that this would be the collection that I would go broke for. (Just kidding… or am I)
Fast forward that to now. I decided to check online to see if anyone had any previews/reviews of MAC upcoming collection. Lucky for me I discovered Christine’s blog called Temptalia. Christine had the, lucky, opportunity to attend the MAC’s Venomous Villains press event at Disneyland. See where hard work can lead you. In addition to attending the event, Christine also received a sample of the entire collection for review. *secretly throws shade* I watched her review on youtube, so that I can see what MAC had in store for me. (Strongly advise to watch video)
After watching Christine’s review, I wanted to hop on the nearest plane, fly to MAC’s headquarters, and slap whomever had anything to do with the colors for this collection. Seriously how in the heck did they manage to jack this up. Like who decided that these easter colors would be cool. The only part of the collection that I would consider buying is Maleficent’s. That part of the collection embodies the character and it puts me in the Disney Villain mood. I love the color selections and those mineralized duos are a go-go for me. If I wanted to be Maleficent for Halloween, then I would definitely us products from her portion of the collection. Now what happened to Dr. Facilier… I am waiting. Seriously Mac, I know you are known for re-promoting products, but seriously just about majority of the products in the Dr. Facilier collection had to be permanents or re-promotes. I see you put real thought into trying to monetize off Princess and the Frog… epicfail.
Poor Cruella de Vil. Now we all know that Cruella de Vil would not be caught dead in some Innocence Beware lipstick nor Her own devices beauty powder. Can I get a white, and/or green; base, grease stick, non-duo eyeshadow, pigment, something? As far as the Evil Queen part of the collection, I would have preferred Jafar over the Evil Queen anyday. #imjustsayin. The eyeshadows that will be available, under Evil Queen, are a too similar to other MAC colors that I have, so I will just bypass.
Mac had the opportunity to blow this collection out of the ball park. When Walt Disney did something, he did not half a#$ it, he went all out and went well over and beyond people’s expectations. There are s0 many characters and colors that MAC could have chosen from, but yet they decided to play it safe. Really MAC, so you can go along with and come up with creative ideas for that Rodarte crap, but yet when it is time to use your creative juices for something spectacular, you give me this Venomous Villains mess. I guess I expected MAC to let it all hang out with no re-promotes, permanents, or products that look so similar to other MAC products that you cannot tell the darn difference. The best thing about this collection is the packaging; and I love Disney and all, but not that darn much.
I bet Walt Disney is turning over in his grave right now.
How do you feel about the MAC Venomous Villains Collection? Did I expect too much, or is MAC lazy? Do you think MAC should have just left Disney alone?
