One of my biggest inspirations for Men’s style is Dan Trepanier, of The Style Blogger. I recently stumbled across his blog and I must say that I was missing out on life. On his blog, his looks range from effortless everyday to stand out, dressy corporate attire. Style Blogger does not just post pretty pictures on his blog, he goes into grave detail about what he is wearing and how you can pull it off. Shopping for my boyfriend has not been the same since I came across The Style Blogger. In 2009, he was named “Best Dressed Real Man in America,” by Esquire Magazine. I am a regular to his site, and when I am there I make sure that I have a pen and paper ready, so that I can take thorough notes.
“Having a good sense of style, in my opinion, is the ability to bring things together in an unexpected and original way, being creative with aspects such as fit, proportion, fabric, layering, accessories, etc. in order to create an image that is uniquely your own.” -Dan Trepanier via thestyleblogger.com
Recently, he launched the Intro to his reality show on youtube.
If you are into Men’s Style blogs and you are not subscribed to The Style Blogger, then you are overlooking something great.
Who are your favorite Men’s Style Bloggers?
NO, you can’t leave me. What will I do? I…I just can’t… no I refuse to give up on you. I refuse to give up on me. I refuse to give up on US! No one can ever replace you, and I don’t want anyone to replace you. We have been through so much, and now you have to leave me. ::kicks stuff Scooby:: NO, I will not let this happen, and I will not let you go. ::runs to sob into pillow::
Pretty dramatic, huh. Well, this is how I have felt lately over a pair of nude colored shoes that I own. YES, shoes. A cute pair of
nude platform shoes. When I say “nude,” I do not mean the color beige. I actually mean nude as in my skin tone nude. Anywho, I have had these shoes for a while now it has come to that time where I have to let them go. See the little black tips on the bottom of the heels have broken off. I don’t know when, how, or why this happened, but the little black tips are gone, and now I am stuck here reminiscing over what was, and what could have been.
I only own one pair of brown pumps, so it is hard for me to let go. I really want to take the shoes to go get fixed, but I wonder if that is a waste of money. Maybe, I could just use that money and go get a pair of brand new shoes. I do love a pair of brand new shoes, however, I really like these shoes, and I had them for some time, so I know that I will not be able to find another shoe like them. Whhhhhy do the good shoes have to go so earlier?
I don’t know where I would wear this, but I think it looks cool. Even though I have the sniffles, I sort of felt rocker chic today.
Happy New Year everyone!! Yea, I know I am sort of late, but like they always say “Better late than never.” I spent the last two weeks visiting my family back in my hometown, and I must say that I enjoyed every single moment spent with them. While back home, I learned a few things: 1) My little sister has an excellent sense of style. 2) There is life without cable, Internet, or a cellphone. 3) No matter how hard you try, if you are in a house full of sick people, then you will get sick. I am still battling this cold that was passed down from my sister, to my mom, to me. This year I decided not to focus on any particular New Years resolution. In all honesty, I just want to aim towards being a better person then I was yesterday, and if I follow that then hopefully everything else will fall into place.
How was your holiday and New Year? Did you make a New Years resolution or are you winging it like me this year?
I love a gorgeous dress, and I LIVE for cute boots. These dresses by Emilio Pucci deserves a suicide dip. Not just any dip, but a Mother Leiomy dips off the table suicide dip.
What do you think of these dresses?
I created this for a Michael Kors contest on polyvore.com. I spent waaaaay too much time on it to let it got to waste, so I decided to post it on my blog. It something neat, and simple that I would probably wear on a night out with my boyfriend.
